Common questions
What is ChatGPT, really?
A program you give a question or a task in ordinary sentences, and that answers in ordinary sentences. No search box, no menus, no commands. Lesson 1 shows it with a single example, and it is free.
What happens to the data I type in?
That depends on the provider and on your settings. Lesson 2 walks through it before you type anything: where your input goes, which switch you can flip, and what never belongs in a chat window.
Can AI get things wrong or lie to me?
Yes, and this is the single most important point. An AI can be wrong and sound entirely convincing, with invented figures, names and sources. The course teaches you where to check instead of believing.
What would I actually use AI for?
Letters to authorities, contracts and medical reports in plain language, trip planning, recipes, photos, and working out whether a suspicious email is real. Every lesson hangs on a task like that, not on a feature.
Do I need prior knowledge?
No. If you can use WhatsApp or email, that’s plenty. We start at the very beginning, without jargon.
Does the AI itself cost extra?
The common assistants have free versions, and the course deliberately works with what costs nothing. Beyond the course itself you need no further subscription.
